Prompt Engineering
Learning to Talk to AI Like a Pro!

Prompt Engineering is the skill of giving an Artificial Intelligence (AI) clear and detailed instructions so it can produce the best possible answer or create the best possible image.

Think of it like giving directions to a friend.

The better your directions, the better the result!

💬 What is a Prompt?

A prompt is simply the instructions or question you give to an AI.

It tells the AI what you want it to do.

Example

❌ Simple Prompt

Explain computer security.

The AI will answer...

…but everyone might get a different response.

🚀 What is a Master Prompt?

A Master Prompt is a much more detailed prompt.

It gives the AI:

clear instructions
the purpose of the task
the audience
the style
the colours
the layout
important information to include

The more details you provide...

the better the AI understands your request.

🎯 Real-Life Example

Imagine your teacher says:

"Draw a picture."

Everyone's picture will be different as no details were given

Now imagine your teacher says:

"Draw a colourful poster of a Caribbean beach at sunset with palm trees, children playing football, blue waves and a fishing boat."

Now everyone knows exactly what to draw!

Copy the ENTIRE prompt and paste it into ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude or any another AI image assistant.

MASTER PROMPT

You are an award-winning educational designer and cybersecurity expert.

Create a colourful educational poster for Form Three (13–15-year-old) students that clearly explains the difference between Computer Security and Cybersecurity.

The poster should be easy to understand, visually exciting, and suitable for classroom learning.

Requirements:

• Divide the poster into TWO clear sections.

LEFT SIDE
Computer Security

RIGHT SIDE
Cybersecurity

For the Computer Security section include:

• Definition:
Computer Security is the protection of a computer and the information stored on it from damage, loss, theft or unauthorised access.

2. Poster Generated Successfully: The AI generated a complete poster that compares Computer Security and Cybersecurity. 3 marks

3. Required Information Included: The poster clearly shows both concepts with appropriate pictures or symbols. 3 marks

4. Presentation: The poster is colourful, neat, easy to read and suitable for Form Three students. 2 marks
