Did you know that...
1. You can access the following items through icons on the desktop?

Websites

Data files

Folders

Programs

The Control Panel
2. To access an item using a desktop icon you can use your mouse and double left click?
3. Deleting a shortcut from the desktop does not delete the original item which may be a data file or program?
4. That this icon represents a shortcut of a folder. This is a folder which could be stored somewhere on a network or the computer’s hard drive?
5. One way to create a shortcut/icon to an application program is to click on the program name in the Program menu and hold the mouse button down as you drag from the menu to the desktop.
6. There are many changes you can make to the appearance of an icon and its related text which include:

Change the name of the icon.

Change the size of the icon and the size of its text.

Select a different picture for the icon.
7. If you click on this button the window will be minimized.
8. There are many settings you can change from the Control Panel? Some are:

Date and time

Screen saver

Desktop colour and pattern

Resolution of the screen
